MASALA DOSA


For DOSA
Parboiled rice - 1 cup
Raw rice - 1 cup
Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp
Soak all this for atleat 4 hours and grind them and let it rest for about 8-10 hours to ferment
before preparing add enough salt and prepare ur dosas,,,

For the MASALA
Onions - 2 (finely chopped)
Potatoes - 2(boiled and chopped)
Green chillies - 3-4 (chopped)
Corriander leaves- 1 tbsp
Cashews - 5-6 (halved)
Urad dal,cumin, mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp each
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste

Heat oil- add cashews
Add in the dals , seeds and cumin to splutter
Add chillies+ onion and fry till tender
Add turmeric , potatoes and salt and mix well

For CHAMMANDI
Scraped coconut - 1 cup
Dry red chillies - 7-8
Tamarind - A small piece
Garlic -2-3 pods
Salt enough

Grind all together to make the chammandi...
