ETHAYKKA CHEMMEEN CURRY

Raw plantain- 1 big(chopp into big pieces)
prawns-1/2 kg
red chilly pwd-2 tsp
turmeric pwd- 1/4 tsp
tamarind pulp-of 1 lemon sized ball
water-2 cups
salt

To grind
grated coconut-1/2
turmeric pwd-1/4 tsp
red chilly pwd-1tsp
shallots-4
garlic-3-4
pepper corns-1/2 tsp
ginger(chopped)-1 tsp
oil-1tbsp

To splutter
oil -1tbsp
dry chillies-3
mustard -1/2 tsp
shallots -2
curry leaves-2 spring

Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry coconut+shallots+garlic+ginger+pepper+turmeric+chilly pwd and wen the color changes remove frm heat and once cooled grind it to a fine paste

In the cleaned prawns add chopped plantain+chilly pwd+turmeric pwd+tamarind+salt+2 cups water and cook in a pan

Once the prawn and plantian is cooked well water reduces ad in the pasted masala and enough water if needed....and cook till the paste and curry everythin is done

In a kadai splutter mustard+chiily+shallots+curry leaves and mix in the prepared curry....
