PRAWNS KAKKAROTTI


For the masala
Prwans - 1 cup (cleaned)
Onions - 2 medium
Green chillies - 4-5 (slited)
Tomatoes - 3 medium
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp each
Corriander pwd - 2 tbsp
Red chilly pwd - 1tbsp
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2tbsp
Salt - to taste
Corriander leaves
Lime juice

For the paste
Grated coconut - 1cup
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Shallots - 6-7
(grind all together to a fine paste)

Heat oil and saute Onions+Green chillies +Tomatoes+Ginger Garlic paste.one aftr another till soft and add all the powders and wen the raw smell dissappears add the prawns and cook till done
And add the ground paste and corriander leaves and lime juice and keep aside.........

For the dough...
Boiled rice - 1 cup (soak in boiling water for atleast 3 hours)
Coconut - 1 1/2 cups
Shallots - 8-10
Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
Cinnamon stick - 1 piece
Grind all together to a smooth paste..

Now grease your palm and take a pinch of the dough ,roll it and press with ur finger...finish like this till the last pinch of dough ,arranging it in a steamer and steam it for about 20 minutes...
Mix the masala and rottis together with a good toss

to garnish...
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Shallots - 5-6 (sliced)
Heat ghee in a pan and brown the shallots and garnish the kakkarotti and serve immediately
