CHEMEEN MASALA IDIYAPPAM

FOR CHEMEEN MASALA
Chemeen(prawns) - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1 small
Curry leaves - 10
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Chilly pwd - 1tsp
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste

1.Marinate prawns with chilly pwd,turmeric pwd,salt & keep it aside for sometime.Fry it in oil.Cut the prawns into small pieces. Keep it aside.

2. In the same oil saute onion,curry leaves & coconut for few minutes. To this add prawns & mix very well.Add pepper pwd.Remove from fire.

3. Prepare idiyappam dough.

4. Fill the dough in idiyappam maker.Heat a steamer.I prepared this dish in which we prepare idli( idli thattu).Roll little idiyappam dough then put 1 tbsp filling & then again idiyappam dough on top of the filling.Boil it till done .Serve it hot.....
