ALSA (HAREESA)



Wheat(kuthiya gothambu) - 1 cups
Chicken pieces - 2
Cinnamon - 3
Cloves - 4
Butter -1 tsp

1.Soak wheat in water for 7-8 hours

2. Heat a pressure cooker,add wheat,chicken,cloves.cinnamon,salt,water & cook in low fire till done.The wheat must be cooked very well.If the hareesa becomes too thick add little fresh milk or coconut milk to loosen it.

3.Add butter & mix very well.

4 .Serve hot.

FOR GARNISHING
Onion - 1 (sliced)
Cashewnuts
Kismis
Ghee

1.Heat a pan ,pour ghee,add onion,cashews,kismis & saute till it turns golden brown.
